Terms and Conditions for Participation in Candle-Making and Soap-Making Activities

1. Acknowledgment of Participation

By participating in candle-making, soap-making, or any related activities, whether at home using Maker Supply’s kits or at one of Maker Supply’s events, I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in these activities. I understand that these processes involve the use of hot wax, lye, essential oils, and other potentially hazardous materials.

2. Assumption of Risk

I acknowledge that there are inherent risks associated with participating in candle-making and soap-making, including but not limited to burns, allergic reactions, chemical exposure, and accidents. I voluntarily choose to assume those risks. I am aware that if I participate in these activities at a Maker Supply event, I may be required to follow safety instructions provided by the instructor during the class.

3. Release of Liability

In consideration for being permitted to participate in these activities, whether at home or at a Maker Supply event, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Maker Supply, its owners, instructors, employees, and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me during or arising out of my participation in these activities.

4. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Maker Supply from any loss, liability, damage, or costs, including court costs and attorney fees, that may be incurred by Maker Supply as a result of my participation in candle-making or soap-making activities, whether at home or at one of Maker Supply’s events.

5. Understanding of Terms

I have read these terms and conditions, fully understand their terms, and understand that I am giving up substantial rights by agreeing to them. I acknowledge that my participation in any candle-making or soap-making activities is done at my own risk and discretion.

6. Compliance with Safety Instructions

If I am participating in a Maker Supply event, I understand that I may be required to follow specific safety instructions provided by the instructor. Failure to adhere to these instructions may result in my removal from the class without refund.

7. Consent to Use of Materials

By participating in Maker Supply events or using Maker Supply kits, I consent to the use of my image, likeness, or voice in any promotional materials, including photographs or videos taken during events.

8. Amendments and Modifications

Maker Supply reserves the right to amend or modify these terms and conditions at any time. It is the responsibility of participants to review these terms periodically.
